The June 2014 Costco coupon book begins next Thursday, June 12th. Clicking the link above will allow you to view it, download it, or print it. It is valid from June 12th through July 6th. For the second month in a row all regular items are Instant Savings. I hope this is a permanent change that all Costco members should enjoy. Basically it means you won’t need the coupon book or app to get discounts on any items with the exception of glasses and tires. All discounts will be applied automatically at the register.

There are a few items worth mentioning within the booklet. Food wise the Drumsticks don’t go on sale that often, so that is a good deal. Same can be said for Red Bull, I can’t remember the last time that was on sale, and $7 off is quite a heavy discount. The Kirkland Signature chocolate chunk cookies are hardly ever on sale and at $5.50 for 24 cookies you can’t beat that price. Lastly, the Harmonics Laminate Flooring is good quality and a good deal when not on discount, so that would be something to consider for a summer project. As for me, it does not look like I’ll be picking up anything. What I can tell you is that I tried the Charmin Ultra Soft last time it was on coupon and am not impressed. Much preferred is Kirkland Signature toilet paper. Also, I have the ION Block Rocker and it is awesome. If you’re in the market for a bluetooth portable speaker this one will blow you away. The tire coupon is Michelin for the second month, so that means for July and August it will be Bridgestone.

If you’ve bought something recently that went on sale starting June 12th I’d recommend bringing your receipt into the store, going to membership, and asking for a price match. They’ll send you to the special cashier (first checkstand) to get your money refunded. If it’s been within two weeks you shouldn’t have an issue. The May 2014 Costco Coupon Book is now posted for those of you interested in seeing what deals and specials Costco is offering this month. Clicking the link above will allow you to view it, download it, or print it. The coupons run from May 8th through June 1st. For the first time ever all of the regular items are Instant Savings. This is a welcome change, as you won’t need the coupon book or app to get discounts on any items, they will instead be applied automatically. The exceptions are the Costco special department items — tires, glasses and ink refills — those will require the book or app still.

There are a lot of good deals to be had in the coupon book. People are excited about the Kirkland Signature facial and bath tissues at $3 off, the motor oil at $9 off, and the protein drinks at $5 off. The Coleman tent at $100 after $30 off is a great deal too. As for myself, I’ll likely pick up the Brownie Brittle at $2 off, which if you haven’t tried it, you totally should! It is great with a bit of vanilla ice cream on top. Also, the Coppertone sunscreen at $5 off is a great deal for the upcoming summer. I really like the mini stick for putting sunscreen on your face and not worrying about it getting into your eyes later. As predicted, the tire coupon is back to Michelin, and should be the same for the June coupon book as well.

Just released is the April 2014 Costco Coupon Book. Clicking the link above will allow you to view it, download it, or print it if you’d like. The coupons run from April 10th to May 4th. The March coupon book had only 7 items that required a book or the app, and this coupon book has 9 items that require it. The rest are Instant Savings, meaning the discount will automatically be taken off at the register.

Once again not that exciting of a coupon book. I feel that is the norm for Costco coupon books these days. The item I’ve heard most talked about it the Hunter ceiling fan on the first page. At only $79 after $20 off it is a great deal, and I’ve heard great reviews on it as well. Besides that people always like the potstickers, and the frosted mini wheats. With summer coming up the sunscreen is always a good buy as well. For myself, I will likely pick up some beef jerky and maybe some raviolis, but that is about it. For the second month in a row the tire coupon is Bridgestone, which means it will switch to Michelin next month.

Costco Coupons March 2014 (3/6/2014 – 3/30/2014)

Here is the upcoming March 2014 Costco Coupon Book. The link above will allow you to view it, download it, or print it if you’d like. The February 2014 Costco Coupon Book ended on the 23rd, and these coupons start on March 6th, so there is a week and a half between coupon books. The trend has been that each coupon book there are less and less items that have the blue arrow showing they require the coupon book or app to get the discount, as they are not instant savings, and this one is no different. This time only 7 items in the book require it or the app. Also, as a reminder, the Proctor & Gamble special deal where you spend $100 on P&G products and get a ~~$20~~ $33 Costco cash card is still running through the end of March. Yes, looks like they upped the rebate to $33 back. It does seem like a lot of work to get your money back though. All of the P&G items in the coupon book once again have the P&G logo.

Overall, I’d call this an average coupon book. There’s not that many great deals, nor much to get excited about. I’ve seen the public be interested in the Honey Bunch cereal, the 409 (which is never on sale), and the Keurig. Also, the Hansgrohe faucet is a great deal at $60 off ($199.99 AC). It is of very high quality – much better than a Delta you’d find at Home Depot or Lowe’s. The wiper blades are a great deal as well, if you’re in the market. A lot of people stock up on diapers when they’re on sale, since it’s not that often that they are. I would also personally recommend the Braun Series 7 Shaver, it is the best shaver I have ever used, and at $35 off it is a great deal. As for myself, I will likely only pick up the Chobani Greek Yogurt, and maybe the IZZE sparkling juice. I need gallon Ziploc bags, but not quart size, so I’ll probably pass on the variety pack. Just as I predicted, the tire coupon is back to Bridgestone, and will probably stay that way through April.

If you’re looking to get one the 7 items that require the book or app, and don’t get the coupon book mailed to you regularly, I’d recommend downloading the Costco app. Otherwise, the Membership Department may or may not have some coupon books available to grab in store. Deli Pork Taquitos Review

The Costco pork taquitos showed up in the deli a couple weeks ago and I just had to try them. I am a big fan of any new item at Costco, but especially when it’s food and even more so, when it’s Mexican food. For around $10 you get 6 whole taquitos cut in half, making 12 pieces. The taquitos are about an inch in diameter, which means they are much larger than the tiny taquitos sold in the frozen section. Each tray comes with two salsas to dip your taquitos into. On average, a tray is about 2 pounds of food for $4.59/lb.

Two of us had the pork taquitos for dinner and were pretty full, which makes sense considering we each ate about a pound of taquitos. They are very filling, with a lot of meat in them. Another way to put it would be that they’re pretty hearty. I also really enjoyed the flavor of them. They were not bland, with the meat having a nice flavoring to it, and the flour tortilla shell was very nice. The instructions say to bake for 30-40 minutes, and we baked for 42 minutes. Still, they didn’t get as crispy as I would have liked. Next time I would try broiling for a couple minutes at the end. The salsa on the other hand was not very good. Neither of us liked it, and ended up dipping in another salsa instead. Hard to describe what it was about the salsa we didn’t like, but it was also on the spicier side. The label says it has fire-roasted tomatoes and jalapeno peppers in it. Overall, I was happy with what I got for the price, it was simple to prepare, and will get it again some time. Not something I’ll eat every week, but perhaps once a month. Have you tried it yet? What did you think?

Just arrived is next weeks February 2014 Costco Coupon Book. Clicking the link above will allow you to view, download, and print the coupons if you’d like to. The January 2014 Costco Coupon Book is valid through Sunday the 26th, and the February coupons begin the following Thursday. One very interesting thing is that besides the tire and optical coupon, there are only 6 items that require a coupon, and they are all Proctor and Gamble products. So, that tells us that Costco would prefer that all products be Instant Savings and not require a coupon, but some manufacturers require Costco to require a coupon. However, not all P&G products in the book require a coupon, so perhaps only certain divisions of the company. Lastly, you’ll see on the last page of the coupon book that Proctor and Gamble is offering a $20 Costco cash card when you spend $100 on P&G products at Costco during February and March. I see that as being difficult to achieve unless you buy something like a Braun electric razor or Iams dog food.

This coupon book seems to be much better than last months. There are quite a few items that people are excited about. The Sonicare FlexCare two pack plus UV sanitizer and travel accessories is a great deal at $30 off. Also, the Duracell batteries are not on sale that often, and definitely better than the Kirkland Signature equivalent. The Mobil 1 motor oil is a great price after coupon at $10 off. As for myself, I will likely only get Airborne, since I am low and do feel that it has worked really well when I’ve taken it. I’m also surprised there’s only one TV in the coupon book that runs during the Super Bowl. I’ve always heard a lot of people buy TVs during this time of year, but maybe that’s not true. The tire coupon is once again Michelin, so I’m predicting March will be Bridgestone.

You can download the Costco app if you didn’t get the coupon book mailed to you, and show the cashier your coupons from your phone. Also, at some locations the cashier will have the coupons already and automatically scan it for you. I heard they are getting more strict on this though. These coupons will not work in store, as you need the barcode. Remember, the booklet says that additional books will NOT be available at the warehouse, which is a change from the past. As is common for Costco over the end of December, there is no coupon book during the holidays. The next one is the January 2014 Costco Coupon Book, which runs from January 2nd to January 26th. Clicking the link above will allow you to view, download, and print the coupons if you’d like to. I suppose all of the discounts Costco offered during the Black Friday weekend make up for the fact that there were 2.5 weeks between coupons. While the majority of discounts are Instant Savings which require no coupon book or app, there are still about 20 items that do require a book or app. The blue arrow will tell you if the item requires the book or app or not. Remember, the booklet says that additional books will NOT be available at the warehouse, which is a change from the past. Besides the standard in-store coupons there are also 3 pages of Online-Only offers and two pages of Costco Travel deals. Overall, it seems as though people aren’t that excited about this coupon book. The only things I’ve seen chatter about are the Kirkland Signature chicken alfredo with penne and the Oral-B toothbrushes. Not much else seems very exciting. As for myself, I might get the Special K bars and I like the Pierre grilled chicken sandwiches. I’ll often add bbq sauce and avocado to them to make quite a tasty sandwich for lunch. Since the last two coupon books were Bridgestone it makes sense that this one is Michelin. I recently got new Bridgestone tires on my car from Costco and am quite happy with them.
