Costco Christmas Trees 2014

Costco Christmas Trees

There are a few different Christmas trees at Costco this year. You can get a fresh cut noble fir at several locations, and pre-lit Christmas trees at all locations. The 2012 artificial Costco Christmas trees brought about the color choice trees, and now that is your only option. Color choice means you can choose whether you want the tree to be multi-colored or white, or you can have it alternate between the two. The prices have gone up a little bit, but are still very reasonable considering what you get. You also get a few less bulbs than in the past, probably to make up for the fact that the bulbs have both colors in them and therefore are more costly to make.

In my opinion these trees are totally worth getting. You can see my 2011 Costco Christmas trees review or 2012 Costco Christmas trees review if you want to compare what they carried in the past and what I thought of those. The 7.5′ and 9′ artificial trees will likely sell out very quickly, so hurry on over to Costco if you have not gotten a tree yet. The same goes with the fresh cut noble firs.

Fresh Cut Noble Fir

Fresh Cut Noble Fir

7′ – 8′ Fresh Cut Noble Fir Christmas Tree $44.99 (Item #351892)

  • Live tree
  • Shipped in from Oregon
  • Cut down within the week
  • Farm grown
  • Carried only at select locations

The live Christmas trees are trucked in, and sell out quickly as well, due to their great price. Looking back at old posts I see the prices have not risen at all since at least 2011. You have to buy the tree wrapped, which is kind of odd, since most would want to pick out their exact tree, but you just have to trust that all the trees are great. Worst case scenario Costco has a pretty good return policy. Did you get a Costco tree this year? Does it meet your expectations?
