If you want to purchase anything off of Costco.com or from the Costco app you must first create a Costco.com account. Another reason you might want to create a Costco.com account is if you want to use the Costco digital membership card now available in the Costco app. You don’t need a Costco membership to create a Costco.com account. The downside to not having a membership is that you’ll be charged a 5% surcharge for anything you purchase online. Also, you won’t have access to buy any of the member-only items on the website. Step 1: Click the Sign In / Register link on the homepage of Costco.com

Step 2: Click the Create Account button on the bottom of the page

Step 3: Fill out the account information and membership number

Step 4: Click the Create Account button

Step 5 (Optional): Verify your membership by answering a few questions pulled from public records information. This is needed in order to use the Costco Digital Membership Card.
